Content Management Privileges (CMP) are assigned to user accounts and allow the user access to the various features of Cortex.  To be able to assign CMP, the user must have an "active" Cortex user account and the User Administrator role assigned for that product.

Assigning or Changing CMP to an Account

To assign CMP, select the Content Management Privileges link from the User Administration area.

Select the product from the drop down menu selection and then click the Assign privileges button.

The product course and category list and the user list with assigned CMP will be displayed.  CMP can be edited or removed by selecting the Edit or Remove button next to the user name.

CMP can be assigned at various levels within Cortex.  If the user has access to the entire product, CMP will be assigned at the product level by selecting the product and [Assign privileges] button.

Alternatively, CMP can be assigned at the course, category and case levels.  To assign CMP at the course level, click on the coarse which will be displayed in red under the product and then select the Assign privileges button.

To assign CMP at the category level, click on the category which will be displayed in red and then select the Assign privileges button.

To assign CMP at the case level, select the course or category or search for the case using the Case Name and Case ID filters.  Click the Assign privileges button next to the case name.

Once [Assign privileges] is selected, the Content management privileges page will be displayed.  Use the filters up top to locate the user or user accounts to assign the CMP.  Multiple user can be selected by using a semi-colon between the names for filtering.  Place a check mark next to the name of the user account and choose the Select button.

The Content management privileges page will now display the list of CMP that can be assigned.  Place a check mark in the appropriate CMP and the select Update privileges to save the change.

If a CMP is greyed out, than you cannot assign that privilege at that level.  Certain CMP can only be assigned at certain selected levels in Cortex based on the following chart:
